Writer's Refuge

Treasure an environment where you are free to reflect, pray, and write— undisturbed by the everyday demands of life.

The Monastery grounds offer a place for refreshing walks, giving you a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of creation.

Our small retreat center offers reliable internet connections in addition to comfortable accommodations. 

Privacy and quiet are yours during your stay, therefore, you will be in a single room with a private bath, quiet lounge, library, and kitchenette.

Guests are also welcome to join the monastic community for meals, Liturgy of the Hours, and Eucharist. 

Personal Retreats

Enjoy a contemplative space designed for you to experience silence, prayer, and personal renewal.

Guest may come for a private retreat or arrange for a directed retreat. During a directed retreat, you will meet with you, one-to-one daily.

The Monastery grounds overlook the Missouri river and offer plenty of space to walk outdoors.

You will have plenty of privacy in your single room with a private bath, lounge, and kitchenette.

Guests are also welcome to join the monastic community for meals, Liturgy of the Hours, and Eucharist.

Sabbatical

Rest and restore your energy with a sabbatical at our Peace Center. 

Instead of groups and programming,  we offer space, time, and freedom to design your sabbatical time.

Guests may also enjoy events on the Mount Marty University campus or in the local Yankton community.

Accommodations include a single room with a private bath, lounge, kitchenette, and library so that privacy is yours. 

Guests are also welcome to join the monastic community for meals, Liturgy of the Hours, and Eucharist. 

Beginning July 1, 2022, retreat costs for one person: first night $85, additional consecutive nights $75.  Queen bed for double occupancy: first night $100, additional consecutive nights $90, respectively.  Inquire about long term rates.
