Welcome to the Peace Center

Silent Personal Retreats. Spiritual Direction. Spiritual Growth Programs.

Online or In-person

We are currently accepting fully vaccinated and boosted residential retreatants at the Benedictine Peace Center. You are welcome to contact us for reservations.

The Benedictine Peace Center is a peaceful place to rest and renew your relationship with God. Walk along the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River. Meet with a trained spiritual director. Join the monastic community for prayer and meals. Cherish your solitude and create your own spiritual experience.

We are:

  •  A monastic space where you can come for solitude, prayer, and spiritual refreshment.
  •  A resource center for spiritual enrichment programs in a variety of settings, both at and away from the Center.
  •  A community of women sharing the journey of seeking God with others, together.
  •  A place where all are welcome, no matter your faith.

What People are Saying.

Don’t just take it from us, let our retreatants do the talking!

“Thank you for a beautiful, meaningful advent retreat! Your voices were soothing and peaceful. It was a hopeful and encouraging experience of growth and a way to reflect and recognize the many ways God is at work in our ordinary lives.”

Joni R.

“Thank you so much for this morning’s stillness, silence, and sacred sharing. Obviously, all of you put a lot of time and effort into this morning. It showed in the presentations. S. Penny mentioned “letting go.” I immediately called to mind a poem someone shared last week during one of my multi ZOOM contemplative groups. You all are probably already familiar but the poem was new to me. Again my thanks.”

Andrew K.

“The retreat was wonderful – clear, enlightening, and deeply thought-provoking! God Bless you for the gift of your presence and as a source of grace and hope for all of us throughout the region and entire Church!”
