Online Advent Retreat at the Benedictine Peace Center
The Winter of the Spirit
Saturday, December 5, 2020
We were blessed as about 50 people gathered on Zoom for this Advent retreat, The Winter of the Spirit, from California to New Jersey, from Alabama to the Dakotas. We explored how Advent Hope can speak to us in our fears, grieving, and frustration in this time of pandemic. We gained wisdom from the prophetic writings and lamentations in the Old Testament, from wise sufferers of more recent times, and from Mary, who brought us HOPE.
We will be offering an online Lenten retreat on February 20; go to https://yanktonbenedictines.org/retreats-online-group/ for current information.
The Advent retreats at the Benedictine Peace Center always remind me that this is a season of waiting in hope and expectation.
I am invited to be still and listen for Christ’s growing presence in my life.
